About Us  

 

The Institute of Co-operative Management (ICM), Hyderabad is one of the 19 premier management institutes in the country under the administrative control of National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT) New Delhi, fully funded by Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Cooperation, Government of India.  

 

ICM Hyderabad is catering to the training, research and consultancy needs of various cooperative organizations, Cooperative Department, Functional departments, and government departments in Andhra Pradesh.  

 

Mission  

 

Our mission is to build cooperative Organisations as professional enterprises through training, research and consultancy.  

 

Objectives

 

1.  To impart management training to the personnel in the cooperative sector which comprises cooperative institutions, Cooperative Department, various Departments under the Functional Registrars and other allied sectors.  The institute designs and conducts long term and short term training programmes suiting to the needs of the  organizations to update knowledge, sharpen skills and change attitude of the personnel. 

 

      2.  To Conduct research and offer consultancy to the Cooperative organizations

 

Our Activities  

 

The institute conducts Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management (HDCM) of 26 weeks duration.  Besides this Diploma, the institute conducts many number of need based short duration programmes mostly on areas of management, legal aspects, accounts, audit, marketing, computers etc.  The other major component is the leadership development programme for the leaders of the cooperatives.  Consequent upon the emergence of SHGs in the State, the Institute organized capacity building programmes for the SHGs all over the State.  

 Apart from conducting training programmes, we organize seminars/workshops and Conferences both for the cooperative leaders and chief executives on latest issues.

 

Training Programmes  

 

The Institute of Co-operative Management, Hyderabad endeavors to instill a high degree of operational efficiency to various Cooperatives by designing and conducting  suitable training programmes.

 

New Horizon  

 

The Institute also extends its cooperation to different government departments for organizing training programmes, such as Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) through its VELUGU project;  DRDA, A.P.Rural LP etc.  The Institute has also taken up to conduct programmes for  the  Sericulture Club members of Sericulture Department.  Organising the programmes with the collaboration of National level institutions and cooperative institutions.  

 

Organistional Transformation Through Training  

 

The Institute has introduced the concept of organistional transformation through training.  Under this concept, the institute identifies a few organizations and will arrange training programmes for all the employees of the organization in their respective areas of functioning.

Research & Consultancy  

 

In addition to organizing training programmes, the institute also undertakes research and consultancy work. The ICM has been identified by the user organizations/departments as an agency to undertake Research Studies. Following are the studies completed by the Institute.

The Computer Center of the ICM is well equipped with systems and peripherals of latest technology to provide Computer Training.  

 

Class room

 

 

The Institute is having well furnished class room furnished with all modern gadgets so as

to facilitate the interactive learning.

 

Hostel Facilities

 

 

 

The institute is having a good hostel facilities to accommodate about 120 participants at a time with lodging and boarding facilities. All the programmes are residential.  

 

Library

 

The institute’s library possesses 11,000 books on Cooperation, Cooperative Law, Cooperative

Management, Audit, Accounts,Behavioural Sciences, HRM, Marketing, Production

and Operation Management and other allied subjects.  It subscribes to more than 60 journals

in the areas of Cooperation, Management, Accounting and Rural Development. 

 

The library facilities have been extended to the research scholars and departmental officers

apart from the regular trainees at the institute.
